Privacy

We measure this site without tracking you.

We want to know whether this site explains ORIQX well — which sections people read, and roughly where they are. We do not want to know who you are, and we have built the measurement so that we cannot.

No cookies, and nothing stored on your device

This site sets no analytics cookies and writes no analytics identifier to your browser. The only thing it stores locally is your choice of English or Japanese, so the page keeps that language on your next visit. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

We do not store your IP address

Your IP address reaches our server, as it must for any web request. It is used once, in memory, to derive a short one-way code that lets us count a visitor without naming one, and it is never written down. That code mixes in the current date, so the same person on two days produces two unrelated codes: we cannot follow anyone from one day to the next, and we cannot work backwards from a code to a person.

What we do collect

  • The page and the sections you scrolled to, how far down you read, and how long the tab was actively visible.
  • An approximate location — country, region and city — which our content delivery network derives from your IP address. We never see a precise location and never ask your browser for one.
  • Your device class (mobile, tablet or desktop), operating system, screen size and language.
  • The site or campaign link that brought you here, if any.
  • Clicks on our contact address and on links leaving the site.

What we do not do

No advertising networks. No third-party analytics product. No cross-site or cross-device tracking. No profiling, no session recording, no scraping of form or clipboard contents. Your data is not sold, and is not shared with anyone outside the processors that host this site.

Where it is held, and for how long

Analytics records are held in Frankfurt, in the European Union, and are deleted automatically after 400 days. The only other request this page makes to a third party is to Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces.

Turning it off

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, this site records nothing at all — not even an anonymous count.
